Who would make hot cross buns nowadays? Store bought are super cheap and actually really delicious but me, I dunno why.... just like to trying making stuff from scratch and see how it turns out.

Anyways, Easy Hot Cross Buns - I tried this recipe, from the BBC Good Foods site, it was very easy. Had already had a false start the day previously with a Delia recipe where the dough turned out super hard, and then I burnt the damn things to a crisp. This BBC recipe is, indeed, Easy.

I like bread making. You get to punch stuff and it makes the house smell real yummy. Just avoid burning.

Only thing with this recipe, the buns are HUGE. Next time, I'll make like 12-16 little buns cos who wants to eat a bun as big as their head? I was almost tempted to use them as hamburger buns but in a way that would be too decadent, even in this weekend time of crazed chocolate consumption, and maybe just a little too muchLuther Burger for my arteries to stand...
